Biking and Free Laundry Hilton Head (#109)

Updated: Apr 1

We were able to dock fairly easy as Hilton Head. Our two night stay worked out with the weather windows, and we were able to get a space on the face dock. As we enter South Carolina, tides and current become a bigger issue with travel and docking.

Our big adventure for our time in Hilton Head was to find out where our friends new home is on the island. They are currently in Miami so we said we would check on it, and plan to come back again one day when they are settled.

We got out the Bromptons and found a great Thai restaurant Ruan Thai near their home.

Thhe soup was equally delicous to the main course.

We grabbed a quick snap after getting through the front gate and making sure we were authorized with a pass.

There were waterways inside the subdivision which are peaceful for a walk.

Laura tried to take a picture of us in front of the bikes, but ended up taking a picture in portrait mode.

The main office had a quaint hexagon structure that was easy to see.

We enjoyed our time on the Bromptons.

A high point of this marina was new and free laundry.

Stay: 2 nights

Pros: Three restaurants on site, quick bikeride on paved bikepaths to town, booked with Dockwa

Cons: One restaurant closed on the days we were there (Monday)
