We had a smooth trip from Little Current to Blind River with an early morning start. When we arrived at Blind River, we asked if we could get fuel. The Dockmaster said "negative" not until 4:00pm. When we docked, he explained how we arrived on the one regional power outage was happening that day for the marina and all the surrounding towns. This meant impacts to restaurants and grocery stores.
As soon as the power came on at 4pm, we begain looking to find a restaurant that was open. We found the one and only Pizza restaurant was the only open restaurant.
This picture doesn't truly capture all the cars waiting for the whole town trying to get pizza.

The dock was comforting because it was made out of the same material as our home port, Prince William Marina, but in a different color.

This was a brief stop on our way to Drummond Island Yacht Haven.
Blind River Marina
Pros: Great dock material, helpful dockhands, clean bathrooms
Cons: No power when we arrived, small town with limited resources
Rating: 4 stars
