Canadian Ice Cream HQ in Bobcaygeon (#28)

We took a quick 10 mile journey early in the morning to get a spot with electricity at Bobcaygeon. Many of the other Loopers had moved ahead. By the end of the day the Lock wall was full of locals. The boat two boats behind us live in Bobcaygeon and bring their boat on the lock wall for the weekend. They set up this tent over the picnic table to get rid of the bugs at night.

Ever since we have arrived in Canada, we see ice cream stores everywhere. And they all sell a since brand of ice cream: Kawartha. We were excited to find out the company was founded in Bobcaygeon and had there headquarters store there. We did a little sight seeing and promptly went to the Canadian Ice Cream Headquarters to get too much ice cream, coffee, and souvenirs.

We did a grocery run and Ted picked up some local craft beer.

We also went into the industrial Beer Store. This is where you can buy commercial beer in quantity. They will also give money back for cans to recycle. One person came in with two garbage bags filled with cans. They do not sell local beers and directed us across the street to Old Dog Brewery which Ted loved.

The British store was a fun experience. There were Tea Cups with King Charles, and Princess Kate tea. We purchased some British snacks to enjoy.
