We arrived around 3:30pm after a full day of locking. Our slip was near the dam and as we exited, the lockmaster gave us instructions as how to avoid the inflow into the dam. The lockmasters on the Trent Severn regularly come to talk to the boats and share instructions about the next lock and communicate your intentions for locking to the other locks you will encounter.
The Hastings Village Marina is a marina with mostly local boats and a few slips for transients. They had lovely showers for us to use. Laura tries to wash her hair off the boat so her extra hair doesn't clog up the plumbing systems.

We are on the T-Head. We left early the next morning.

This is the picture of the most amazing boat: Rosebud. We were able to get a tour of this tugboat. The owner and his parents had purchased the tugboat hull from a commercial shipbuilder in 1986. They spent 2 years remodeling and customizing it to use as a recrational boat. They even created a temporary barn on their property to house the boat. The top had to be removed and re-welded because the boat couldn't transit under the bridges by truck.

Hastings Village Marina
Pros: Electricity, Showers, Staff
Cons: Canada Pass wall across the way is great (but no electricity), Narrow T-head
Review: 3.5 Star
