Repairs in Progress! Drummond Exploration - Part 2 (#38b)

Good news! We were able to start the Port engine after replacing the cracked manifold. We decided to replace the second manifold, spark plugs, impellers to put us in good shape. We did determine we need to replace the same on the Starboard engine, but we need to get to Chicago to get those repairs done.

As we were waiting for parts, we took a side trip to Mackinac Island on the Ferry.

As we wait, what is our next move?

Noon-time celebration for the transition of the day.

We also ate food at the two restaurants in town. Luckily they are both good!

Laura went to Baked Good Bingo, Wednesdays at 7pm. She didn't win, but was able to buy baked goods for the boat.

Laura went on so many island walks, the locals became very familiar with her.

Drummond Island Resort and Conference Center

Laura took a quick swim in this beautiful beach one day.

We also had docktails with Looper that have been in Drummond in our time here.

With weather, we are thinking we will leave on Monday. This will be a two-week stay in Drummond Island.
