We spent three nights in Dublin. Our first day we arrived in the afternoon and were able to do a quick ride on the Hop on Hop off to orient ourselves with Dublin.

The next morning we went to the Archeology National Museum of Ireland.

We were able to learn about the Viking influence on Ireland, and see some gold antiquities.

We took a tour of the Guiness brewery storehouse in Ireland. We had an impressive interactive tour describing the process in simple tours to many tourists. Apparently 3 million pints of Guiness are made here a day, 2 million shipped abroad, and 1 million consumed in Ireland.

Outside we saw the horse and carriages but didn't take a ride.

Later in the day we went to the impressive Viking Museum and learned more that the Vikings in Ireland were more from Norway, whearas the Vikings in England were from Denmark.

We didn't have near enough time to absorb everything in the Viking museum as we had a scheduled tour to see the Book of Kells at Trinity College.

After visiting the Trinity College Longroom, we went and saw the Book of Kells and Book of Kells Digital experience which included large videos and interactive displays trying to give a better understanding of the importance of the Book of Kells.

We witnessed a Ph.D graduation at Trinity College in Dublin. The English colllege was for protestants and Catholics only started attending after the 1970's when the Catholic Church finally allowed entrance to Catholics in good standing.

Laura took a brief tour of Christ Church next to the Dublina Viking museum.
