Train HOME to Texas (#56)

We took our last leg of the trip to Texas by train.

We began the morning by a quick walk to the train station from our overnight in Chicago.

As first class passengers with a cabin we were walked to our train first. The train left at 1:52pm for a 1:17am arrival in Texas.

Our cabin had a chair and a couch that folded into a double bunk bed.

As we left we got to see Chicago from train. A different sight than from boat, plane, walking, or car.

We passed under this open train bridge by boat about a year ago.

One of our first stops along the way was very close to where we stopped and stayed tied up to a tug. Tying up to a Tug? No Problem - Beardstown Logston Tug Service (#52)

We were able to enjoy many of the same places we had seen the year before by boat much quicker. So quick that we couldn't always get a picture.

Viewing car was lovely

We had a lovely time enjoying our last train journey home to Texas.
After 18 months of travel, we are looking forward to settling down. Thanks for following along with us!
Stay: 1 night
