We ended our time in Germany with Octoberfest in Munich.

On the train ride, Laura found the equivalent of Diet Coke and M&Ms.

We had a beautiful day of travel on a very crowded train of people heading to Munich for Octoberfest. There were no free seats.

The next day we walked to meet Daeland and friends for dinner. Our hotel was on the other end of the Munich English Gardens. We enjoyed the walk.

Laura got to join the girls shopping for their Drindels while Daeland and Ted did laundry. Isis and Laura arrived at the walking tour before the boys.

After a few minutes the joined us on our evening historic tour of the city.

One early stop was the recommended Augustiner Brewhall Restaurant that the locals prefer. Originally it was a monastery and is the oldest brewery from 1817.

We had dinner Daeland & Isis after our tour at the famous beerhouse.

Daeland and I shared a delicous Apple Strudel. Best of the trip!

The next day Laura went and bought street food . She found this wonderfully light spinach egg pastry.

Laura took a stroll back through the garden and took picture sof the surfers on the river.

This picture was taken from a bridge further down the river.

The map said this was a Picture Spot. Didn't dissapoint.

The English Garden has two beer gardens. Laura walked through and food looked good.

We decided to eat across the street from the hotel. Our last dinner in Germany!

Daeland & Iiss sent us pictures of the gang all enjoying Octoberfest in their new outfits.

Stay: 3 nights
Pros: Great location near the English Garden, fun seeing Daeland, Isis and friends
Cons: Stairs at our hotel (no elevator)
