We had a wonderful train trip to Copenhagen. We met a wonderful Swedish family on their way to Hawaii with their daughter.

Our train was new, but the seats were very uncomfortable for Laura. She pulled out her down jacket to make the seat more comfortable. The train seats were probably the most uncomfortable for the whole trip.

Laura wanted to go back to see Tivoli Gardens where Walt Disney got his inspiration for Disneyland.

The hanging orchids in the entryway were spectacular.

Laura bought hard licorice candy. Licorice is everywhere! And this was our first purchase.

The next day Laura headed back out for a walk as Ted worked on the laundry.

She found this astronomical clock built in 1947.

She walked around the rest of the Town hall and enjoyed the beautiful architecture.

And paintings on the walls.

The offices are actively used as we saw members of the government walking the halls.

Later Ted joined Laura in Christiana and we happened upon this German Lutheran church built and used by the merchants and then was later abandoned and now reused.

On our way back to the hotel we say this walking bridge that was impossible to take a good picture of.

Laura snapped this on the way back to the hotel.
Copenhagen
Stay 2 days
Pros: Stayed extremely close to train station, Tivoli Gardens, Walkable City
Cons: Expensive, Economy hotels still don't have best breakfasts
