We started to notice there were tidal influences, and then found out there is a 12 foot tidal swing within 6 hrs. Yikes! Also makes a difference to why there isn't casual water transit on the river Shannon.

And on our tour of the medieval King John's Castle, the tour explained that this bridge was used to catch fish. You can even see someone fishing off the side in this picture.

We signed up for the Limerick Pass which apparently no one really knows about. We were tourists on our own in Limerick trying to use this pass. We went to King John's castle, St. Mary's Cathedral, and then were able to find the tour of the local brewery.

The Treaty City brewery was in an old home near King John's Castle. The brewer, who is a Chemical Engineer from Brazil, gave a comprehensive explanation of their process and history.

The next day we took a Cliffs of Moher tour and had a magnificent day. The Princes Bride Cliffs of Insanity scenes were filmed here. I remember thinking that they could not be real when watching Princess Bride. Inconceivable seemed to be the right word.

Bunratty Castle had 25 historical sites that we ran through. We arrived at 4:00pm and their last tour was at 4:00pm.
