We are retracing our steps as we head back from Bergen.

We left on a beautiful day.

We had a another spectacular travel day with beautiful views. We were able to sit together. There were more people on this route and so we couldn't move around as much. There was a delay at one point because of an "avaolanche". The kind lady in front of us interpreted the Norwegian part of the announcement to say that there was a large bolder that had slid down and they were watching to make sure it wasn't going to slide any further with the rains onto the track. All movement stopped and we waited about an hour until they were comfortable with us moving forward. At one point we stopped and many people got off the train as we were waiting. Once the engineer felt it was OK to move forward, he started going and there was a lady who hadn't gotten back on the train who looked surprised and upset. We were very happy to arrive safely in Oslo.

Once we were in Oslo we walked around and Laura decided to get a Norwegian Haircut - her first in 18 months. We found a nice salon and the stylist took 2 hours giving her a treatment and beautiful cut.

We stayed at a different hotel, a Raddison Red, which wasn't near as wonderful as our Liverpool experience. But we were close to everything and had a good solid breakfast included. We will miss Norway.

Pros: Great haircut, relaxing stay, Ted felt like everyone dressed like him
Cons: Breakfast and dinner was better at the Home Hotel Bourdain down the street
