On of our tour guides was from Regensburg and gave us a bit of history about living in the town. We had a tour with the local guides who explained about the Stone Bridge and walked us through the cute town.
The tour concluded at a Biergarten where we sampled local beer and pretzels.

This sculpture was made to represent that all the city’s wealth has come from the water.

This medieval stone bridge helped bring wealth from trade to the city. The bridge is original but had to be repaired from truck use. Now it’s only a pedestrian bridge.

These walls are remnants from the Roman settlement incorporated into the buildings.

The guides described that the towers were built as signs of wealth but did not have a functional purpose. 20 towers still remain in the city.

The towers were built next to homes that were lived in but not necessarily connected to the houses.

We sat for a noon organ concert in the church in front of this impressive organ.

After our travels around we got on the boat and relaxed before it was time to leave.
