Quick stop with Curry Pizza in Dundalk (#8)

We planned a longer trip retracing our tracks on the train through Dublin up to the border of Northern Ireland. On our one night stop we took a stroll and found a local museum to learn a bit about Dundalk.

When we arrived, we had a very nice couple offer to take us to our hotel. They showed us around their town by car. As senior citizens, they travel on the train for free and had gone to Dublin for the day. The gentleman had been a builder and had built homes for all is family about 30 minutes from the town.

We were able to take a tour of the Dundalk museum where we learned about the history. The town was known for shoes, and at one point had a shoe company that was eventually bought by Clarks. The factory shut down and no Clarks or other shoes are made in the area. After the War, these small cars were made in Dundalk.

Dinner had Vegetarian Curry pizza at a MoCharo that we didn't take a picture of. Was fabulous.
