We had a lovely travel day with guided tour on the Danube through the Wachau Valley. The sites were extraordinary but hard to capture in pictures. We also got a fun apple strudel demonstration in preparation for our dessert that evening.
When we arrived, we could see Melk Abby right above our boat. Our afternoon excursion was to visit the Abbey that was in the same spot since 1089.

The Abbey has 20 Monks in residence and is used primarily as a school and tourist atrraction.

There was an amazing Library inside worth many pictures, but we were restricted to only outdoor pictures.

The view from above was spectacular. We had to walk across this bridge to get back to our boat.

This is us from the other side looking up. After we boarded, the ship left for Passau, Germay
